The Carlsbad Flower Fields are 55 acres of spectacular ranunculus flowers that paint a stunning picture on the hillside on the edge of Carlsbad, California. Recently, Visit Carlsbad invited me to a spectacular dinner among the flowers as the sun set over the Pacific Ocean.
Carlsbad is 45 miles from San Diego, 86 miles from Los Angeles, and an easy 117-mile drive from Palm Springs. Since I had previously visited the Flower Fields, I went early to show my road trip companion the entire breadth of the grounds.
