Today's organizing in the Mad Community has a long and turbulent back story. Historian Michael Rembis joins us again, this time to relay the remarkable work of mad activists in the 20th Century.
The 20th century was a time of change and increased visibility for people living with
emotional and mental disabilities. We'll trace remarkable gains -- and highlight
continued inequities.
