About today's guest...Dr. Brittany McLemore is the Executive Director of the Georgia Radio Reading Service (GaRRS). Prior to this position, she worked as an Organizational Development Consultant, equipping organizations for success. She has a background in nonprofit development and working directly with individuals with various disabilities. Dr. McLemore has a Doctorate Degree in Organizational Learning and Leadership from Wilmington University, and undergraduate degrees in Human Services and Behavioral Science from both Wilmington University and the University of Hartford. Dr. McLemore is a proud Brooklyn, NY native, and currently resides in Atlanta, GA.

This episode of Disability World with Norma Stanley welcomes Demetres Thomas.  Demetres Thomas “The Specialist” is a special educator, community and family advocate, and founder of LEAD Inc., an education agency that supports students with disabilities and their families.  She has 20 years of experience in Special Education and is certified in both Special Education (K-12) and Educational Leadership. Her passion for children with disabilities stems from the death of her brother who had multiple disabilities. She also has a daughter who was born at 29 weeks, resulting in global delays. Her life's motto is to "Pay It Forward".

Priester, a dedicated advocate and physically challenged wheelchair user, has turned her life experiences into a mission to inspire and empower others. Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1979. Having faced various forms of abuse, Christy now devotes her life to breaking cycles of harm through community programs, book writing, and advocacy.
