DisasZt is one of the key players in the European drum & bass scene, thanks to over 15 years involvement in almost every aspect of the culture: Renowned producer, owner of Mainframe Recordings and head promoter behind one of Europe's largest recurring event series under the same brand.
Numerous solo releases as well as collaborations with the likes of Trei, MC Coppa, Mindscape, Chris.SU and High Maintenance, just to name a few, and among them chart hitters like “Rumours” (with Shimon and MC Coppa) featured on Viper Recordings' “Summer Slammers” series), “Till the Sun Comes Up” (from Audioporn's “Transitions LP”) which has gained massive airplay on Australian Radio, or the more recent “Scarface”, “Trojan Horse” and late 2017's collab release "Stop" (alongside Erb N Dub), recently inciting serious chaos on floors worldwide.
Furthermore, his recent productions have displayed a new level of versatility, with top tunes such as 'Vogue' on Viper, and 'I Got U' (in collaboration with Brazil's Alibi) on V Recordings bringing deep vibes and melodic sweetness to the table. We are proud to be hosting Disaszt, who is one of the best producers from Europe at the moment, showcasing his gifts, an example of how Drum & Bass has truly gone global and is constantly breaking out and evolving beyond its constraints. Unexpected twists and turns of key and rhythm in Disaszt’s music is a metaphor for our constantly evolving sound.
‘Formation 200’ is a celebration of everything the label has achieved in its near-30 year history. The longest running label in drum & bass, Formation and its various side labels have played a role in early careers of: DJ Hazard, Commix, Nero, The Prototypes, G Dub, John B, Matrix, Twisted Individual, Distorted Minds, the list goes on and on. 200 releases deep, Formation Records is true pillar of the scene and remains so to this day.
