Tina Waldrom speaks with Oreste Pompetti about Discerning the Steps to Join God at Work. Oreste is the Director of Forge Australia who are helping the church discern where God is at work and how to join the everyday mission of God. Oresti talks about the starting points to discover where God may be at work and how to respond. He shares his personal journey about living on mission and the mindset changes he has embraced.
Evangelism and mission should not be difficult. It should be as simple as partnering with God. Joining with what the Lord is already doing, perceiving movement and opportunities. Forge help to train the church to live missionally. To live missionally from a place of deep relationship with Christ. Pursuing Christ must be the number one focus. Sometimes the mission itself can become an idol. In training the church to live missionally, Forge address this challenge. Oreste shares his own journey of pursuing the mission before Jesus himself. He talks about his pathway to realising the changes he needed to make.

Oreste shares openly about his past involvement as a church pastor and how he perceived that to be a pinnacle of achievement. He has a great love for the local church but is now employed outside of the church. God invited him into a new space. A space where he is living on mission with God in new ways. Each day he lives among a business community. In many ways he is pastoring and discipling this community. Every day he listens and joins God at work.
