The tree of the knowledge of good and evil offered experiential knowledge God did not give, and taking it changed everything. Jesus later warned believers in Revelation about the “deep things” or “secrets of Satan,” cautioning us not to pursue knowledge rooted in darkness. I also share a personal testimony of a spiritual test involving demons that I did not recognize as a test at the time, but through God’s guidance and help, I was able to pass. Even when information is true, truth taken from a defiled source does not produce life. Scripture calls us to fix our eyes on what is pure and from God alone—because a contaminated vessel can never serve life-giving food.
