Four step process in Evangelism

1. Ask them how they would lead someone to Christ

2. Share the bad news

3. Share the good news

4. Clearly explain the proper response… repentance, faith, and discipleship.

Our Theology in Evangelism

God’s roles and responsibilities in salvation.

  • God saves souls. (Ephesians 2:1-10; Colossians 1:12-14) (Justification)

    • Your roles and responsibilities as a disciple maker.

    • God uses the Church through evangelism to save souls. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20)


      • SO, WHAT ARE THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN DISCIPLESHIP?

      God’s roles and responsibilities.

      1. God saves souls. (Ephesians 2:1-10; Colossians 1:12-14) (Justification)
      2. God matures Saints into the image of Christ. (Romans 8:29, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20) (Sanctification)

        3. Your roles and responsibilities as a disciple maker.

        1. God uses the Church through evangelism to save souls. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20)
        2. God uses the Church through discipleship to mature the saints into the image of Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 4:11-15) (Progressive Sanctification)

          3. So how do we disciple them, well that will be our next lesson.

          We are saved by faith alone, but saving faith is never alone, saving faith always leads to discipleship.
