Our approach to spiritual growth is often haphazard at best. Maybe we'll have a consistent quiet time, but we mostly go about our day to day and wait for God to interrupt our lives miraculously and bring us immediately into a new level of obedience or maturity.

But that's not the language of spiritual growth used in the New Testament. We're exhorted to be active in our cultivation of character, of discipline, and of good works. So, how do we do that when live is crazy-busy? It starts with knowing from where you're starting and identifying what the realistic options are for you.
