In this episode of DTWOL... Equipped? we will explore how the only true God equips His disciples—not through self-effort or human wisdom, but through His living and active Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8) We'll be diving into 2 Timothy 3:16–17, as we see how Scripture teaches, reproves, corrects, and trains His disciples so we may be adequate and equipped for every good work.
We examine why God’s Word is essential for discipleship, how reproof and correction are expressions of God’s love, and how training in righteousness forms faithful disciples over time. This episode reminds us that being “equipped” is not about becoming impressive, but about being prepared—formed by God’s Word, guided by His Spirit, and confident in the identity God has already given us in Jesus, amen?
God's Word: Acts 1:8; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Timothy 4:5; Ephesians 2:10; Philippians 2:13
Additional Scripture references are woven throughout the Godcast and can be gleaned from the full transcript. Amen?
