I believe now that there are basically 2 categories of scopes, and that is fixed and variable. So here I outline what both are for you. Hope it helps!
A fixed scope is a rifle scope with a single, unchanging magnification level. These scopes are generally simpler and more affordable than variable scopes, and they may be preferred by some shooters for their simplicity and lack of moving parts. However, a fixed scope may not be suitable for shooting at varying distances, as it can only provide a single magnification level.
On the other hand, a variable scope is a rifle scope with a magnification level that can be adjusted. These scopes typically have a range of magnification levels that can be selected by turning a dial or lever on the scope. This allows the shooter to adjust the magnification to suit the distance of the target. Variable scopes are more versatile than fixed scopes, but they may be more expensive and have more moving parts that could potentially fail.
If you want a fixed scope then look no further than our simple reflex red dot by 2nd Amen.
