Are We There Yet?

Discovering What's Most Important

Listen Later

"Kids make you better," Heather said, talking about how much she's learned from parenting her kids after their father died. Heather's husband died a year before the pandemic hit, so she was in survival mode, trying to support her family, be there for her kids and deal with all the uncertainty of Covid. Fear was the undercurrent until she eventually realized she needed to slow down and take care of herself in order to be able to support her kids in the best way possible. It's a great conversation about how Heather carved out her own path, relaxed the reigns around her kids, and discovered all the ways our kids make us better people.

If you enjoy the conversation, I'd love to hear your thoughts. You can leave a review on Apple Podcasts or find me on Substack at "I'm Listening."
