I recorded this episode before Covid, before global protests, before things changed in our lives and minds in such a big way. This episode raises some questions that are essential to look at as we consider restructuring our schools….namely, how do we bake equality into the fibers of the new systems we will be creating?

In this hour, I talk with my mom and sister about discrimination in schools. My sister is the mom of both white kids and kids of color. She has some thoughts and stories about what her kids went through navigating through school as minorities. My mom has decades of experience working in public schools. It’s the beginning of a necessary conversation….
