What’s missing at the work place for many people who are black and experience Discrimination is someone who understands discrimination and is of the same ethnicity. I mean how can you understand what it feels like to have accusations of drugs thrown at you yet the STIGMA around black people and Drugs “marijuana” exists.. in this case the individual did not smoke or use drugs in or out of the work place and was accused of smelling of weed two days on a trot . When the individual offered to take an immediate drugs test on the spot the employer refused to test allowing the individual to clear his name, the accusations is a serious problem because what was shown was although the drug allegations was made the employer still allowed this individual to take a van full of passengers out to work knowing that he accused the young black man of smelling of drugs... In the words of the individual “ A black man can’t be accused of drugs just because he is black and this is a common factor, it is unfair to have written content about me or such accusations thrown at me. Yes I am black but I don’t take drugs because of my background I would like to keep a good reputation and a clean record so unless they right this down so i have a copy for my records that I am cleared of any accusation this will be on my record and will prevent me from future employment” this is the defence of the accused. We’ve been in touch with the discrimination law firm who confirmed they employer should write this confirmation in letter to state they retract the accusation. The company in there own words have said “oh the man involved said he didn’t me anything by it,it was just playing about”. Mind Over Matter states reputation means everything because we are all looking for role models in life and you just can’t throw accusations out there like that.
