In this episode, Jan and Jacob sit down to talk about Jan's most recent trip to Slovakia, his first time returning in over ten years. Jan's mother is a first-generation immigrant from Slovakia, and his father is a second-generation citizen, giving Jan and his sister Zuki an opportunity to become dual citizens.
Additionally, Jacob relays his experiences studying abroad in Rome and living in Shrewsbury, England, where his dad worked while Jacob was in high school.
Together, they explore how their experiences overseas gave them insight into the variations and similarities between American culture and European culture.
