The Indian Polycap Study (TIPS), presented at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) 2009 Scientific Sessions, has been described as a critical first step to discovering whether a polypill could work effectively. The pill that was used in the study (Polycap) consisted of three antihypertensive drugs, a statin, and aspirin.
