Today I talk about the connection between deliverance and healing in the New Testament, where we often see Jesus healing sickness and casting out demons as part of the same work of restoring people. In passages like Luke 13:11–16 and Acts 10:38 we see that some suffering was connected to spiritual oppression, reminding us that the battle against evil can affect both body and soul. Reflecting on this, and referencing Beanie Carmichael’s book, I wonder whether some of the struggles and diseases we face today may also have a spiritual dimension that we sometimes overlook.
