A surprise announcement from YouTube has led to speculation that they may have received a communication from Disney to change the rules of the platform. To protect OUR competition. YouTube says it is for the ‘creators’ well being. In the meantime YouTube hasn’t lifted a finger to help creators of targeted deplatforming campaigns that continue to this very day. The firing of Gina Carano has blown up in Disney’s face, and I wouldn’t put it beyond The Mouse to do what it takes to protect BRAND.
