Karen shares their incredible journey from being a college basketball player and coach to becoming a corporate professional, and ultimately, an entrepreneur and healer who is passionate about creating affirming spaces for historically marginalized communities, including Black, queer, and trans individuals.

Karen discusses their new project, "Ain't I A Griot," a crowdfunding campaign to archive the stories of Black, queer, and trans people. Karen reflects on the courage it takes to disrupt generational trauma and "shoulder" for their community, and the vulnerability required to ask for help. This powerful conversation explores the profound link between connection, community, and healing.
