There is so much ego involvement in modern spirituality... as if God should cater to our wants, whims and wishes. The truth is that the path into God is a great dissolving as it were. God is not here to prop up and push forward our ego; rather, our ego has a destiny to dissolve and die as we enter into our spirit and understand the true profundity of what it means to live in Union with God.
