The Divergent series, both the books and movies, is contemporary with a whole bunch of other teen dystopias, most notably The Hunger Games. They're set in a post-apocalyptic Chicago with a rigid caste system based on personality. There are spoilers galore for Divergent, in addition to other Young Adult dystopias and related media.
