Diversity and inclusion, often along with equity, have become tripwires in American culture. But the words mean different things to different groups and much of what activists currently promote is at odds with a biblically Christian worldview. This is even more philosophically and practically threatening to wellbeing when these terms and the associated goals they represent are brought into the Church. The Word of God has not changed and Christians dare not set aside God's definition of morality and, actually, reality. Standing firm for truth, which is to day disagreeing with or rejecting certain non-biblical ideas and values, can be done without rejecting the people who embrace such values. Jesus did this on the cross, accepting and forgiving the thief without condoning his former lifestyle.
