This is Chris, and today, we're talking about an exciting part of nature's universal laws: the difference between variety and diversity. In nature, there is no such thing as variety; there is diversity. Let me explain this. Humans think that the more variety they have, the wealthier they are or the better. But variety is choices and options without an objective. So, for example, we'll have a variety of clothes we wear, a variety of options to buy a car, and a variety of choices as to where we go on our Christmas holidays. That variety is based on how we feel. And so we'll have this clothing that makes me feel this. This clothing makes me feel that, or I'm worried about what people think, so I'll have a variety of clothes to attract opinions. And that variety doesn't exist in nature at all.
