One year ago, our nation grieved the loss of John Lewis. Some of us grieved with an enlightened respect towards his work as documentary and tributes flooded the airways. Today, many of our nation have done a 180 turn and openly reject the option of allowing our black and brown citizens the freedom to vote and their constitutional rights of citizenship.  Today, Nettie shares her thoughts from 1 year ago as she pondered and contemplated the life of John Lewis.  May we keep his legacy alive.
