Most DIY websites do not perform well, thus they provide no real increase in your bottom line.  The cost to you on a DIY website project is high – in the amount of time it will take you to do it right.  So, you’ll spend a TON of time on something that won’t give you anything in return.  However, for a one-time fee, you can have a proper website designed for you, and have a MUCH better chance that it will increase your bottom line.  Chances are, if you design your own website, you’ll invest all that time to find out that you need to hire somebody to do it right later.
