At the end January I played in New York. A club called "Slate" that really changed my mind about New York night life. The club is a big space with high ceilings and the vibe can be best described as "FUN." The resident DJ, Greg Groovez opened for me that night and he inspired me. Traveling for the past several years I haven't heard many opening sets that had such good programming. This may be the best song selection for an opening set I have ever had the pleasure of playing after. Keep in mind, it's impossible to recreate the feeling of the nightclub when you listen to this. The crowd, the mood, the energy, it's all missing when you just listen to the mix. You'll have to fill it in with your imagination. This is a live mix, there are volume drops and mic work. I went on right after the mix ends at around 12:45am.
