My Red Bull Music Academy competition mixtape from ’99.

This mix won me a place at the academy being held in Berlin that year where I got to meet and spend time with some truly inspirational figures in electronic music @claudeyoung @westbam_soundcloud @danny-breaks Kodwo Eshun, @djqbert Jesse Saunders & Suburban knight!

Now just over 20 years old with tracks from some of Techno musics Jedi masters Cari Lekebusch, Steve Stoll, Jeff Mills, James Ruskin, Function & Regis, the mix still holds up strong today in terms of production and power

It is a real shame to hear @redbullmusicacademy will be closing down later this year, For myself and many many others it has been a genuinely positive force for the Electronic music and DJing culture.
