This weeks episode is dedicated the the father of hip-hop the one and only Dj Kool Herc. Herc is credited as the inventor when he threw the legendary first hip-hop party, a back to school jam for his sister Cindy at 1520 Sedgwick Ave. Bronx New York. This is where he showcased the merry-go-round technique with two turntables and a mixer, which allowed him to extend a songs instrumental break for long periods of time. This sparked the phenomenon that is Hip-Hop.
