Dark, intense, psychedelic. The floor is deep in the night – bodies moving on pure instinct, no daylight yet, no mercy in the music. This part stays in classic night psytrance territory: 150-148 BPM, acid lines, hypnotic percussion, and that particular pressure that only exists at 5 AM outdoors with thousands of people who have absolutely no intention of stopping.

Fusion is one of the most important festivals in the world – 80,000 people, 26 stages, no social media, no photos, tickets by lottery. Underground at a scale that shouldn't be possible.

The sun is starting to show. The crowd is still there – those who stayed know something is shifting. The BPM drops only slightly but the whole character of the music changes: the darkness lifts, the basslines start to breathe more, melancholy and beauty creep in between the beats. This is that specific morning psytrance feeling – still dancing, but differently now.

The Trance Floor at Fusion has been running since the festival's first edition in 1997, at a former Soviet military airbase transformed into a temporary utopian society every summer. One of the most storied dance floors in psychedelic music.

Full daylight now. The night is officially over and the music reflects it – the BPM settles lower, the groove opens up, techno-influenced basslines start appearing. Still psychedelic, but with wider space and more color. Dancing that happens when your body finally lets go of everything it was holding through the night.

Playing at Fusion was a milestone. After Sziget (3x), Exit (2x), Untold (3x) and Ozora (2x) – adding Fusion to the list felt like completing something important. These are all massive events, but Fusion has a different weight in the underground world.

DJ set from Hadra Trance Festival 2024, main stage, France. Sunday morning, 7:00 AM. Last day of the festival. 🌅

Last day morning at Hadra is a specific kind of responsibility – the crowd has been dancing for days and the music has to meet them exactly where they are. This set starts in twilight territory: still some edge from the night, slightly mysterious, not quite ready to fully embrace the sun. Then it gradually opens up – deeper, more settled, warmer. By the end it's full Sunday morning psytrance: melodic, breathing, bright without losing depth. 148 down to 142 BPM.

Hadra Trance Festival is the biggest psytrance festival in France and one of the oldest psychedelic gatherings in Europe, with over 10,000 attendees.

Morning on the Ozora Stage – the sun already hitting hard, the floor transitioning from night psychedelia into something wider and more atmospheric. This set lives in that in-between space: starts with some edge still left from the night, then opens up into melodic and deep territory, then pulls back darker again. The bassline is restless and playful throughout – electronic and organic elements fused together, the kind of psytrance that resists easy categorization. Intense but smooth, dark but luminous. 147 down to 142 BPM.

Ozora Festival is one of the most important psychedelic gatherings in the world – around 65,000 people, set in the Hungarian countryside, with the Ozora Stage as its

beating heart since the very first edition.

When Universal Tribe Records reached out and asked for a mix, I already knew what I wanted to explore: the more emotional side of psytrance. The kind of music that moves you inward rather than outward. They gave me full access to their catalogue – I spent two days deep in it, arranging and rearranging the tracklist until the story felt right. This is the result.

The music sits at the intersection of psytrance, techno, progressive and minimal – deep and psychedelic, built for listening as much as for dancing. Some call it zenonesque, some call it bush prog. Either way, it covers the full spectrum of human feeling. Have your own experience of it. ⛵

DJ set from Ozora Festival 2023, Pumpui Stage, Hungary. Sunday evening, closing night of the festival. 🌑

Started the moment the main stage closed. A few hundred people on the floor at the beginning – by the end, a few thousand. The atmosphere was electric in a way that's hard to describe and impossible to forget. Still feel it.

The set opens in darker, more classical zenonesque territory, then builds gradually: melodies appear, trance-inducing atmospheres, tribal elements, psychedelic twists, acid sounds, modern grooves. Sounds techno-ish but isn't techno. Seems progressive but isn't quite progressive. Has goa influences but doesn't sound old. Psytrance that resists easy categorization. 135 to 142 BPM.

I played before Modus, who played before SFX aka Astral Projection – one of those nights where everything aligned.
