D.J. Wiedrich returns to talk Glitch from the year 2065.

Listen Later

In the year 2065, technology has developed to the point where tech giant “Ry-Von Tech” has begun to produce human-sized assistant androids called TY-Units, which are live-in assistants that take care of the basic maintenance of a home. In an attempt to break into the lower and middle class market of customers, Founder and CEO of Ry-Von Tech green lights a one time lottery for a lower class Chicago citizen to receive a free TY-Unit. Due to negligence during his manufacturing, our main character “TY” is built with one major flaw, he’s missing an intelligence inhibitor chip. As a result, he begins to develop his own sense of individuality, personal goals, and moral compass.

That, partnered with poor maintenance, leads him to deteriorate physically and mentally and over time, lose respect for human beings. In his own twisted attempt to help his favorite human being, the family’s only child Lea, he causes a tragedy that will shake the family forever. This single act begins Ty’s journey further into insanity and the worst of the human experience. If you are a fan of Sci-Fi stories about artificially intelligent androids (such as Bicentennial Man, I-Robot, Chappie, and Ex-Machina, this comic is for YOU! Written and drawn by DJ Wiedrich, colored by Dan Kemp (Spawn, Sam and Twitch, I Saw Santa, The Amazing Spider-Man, and many other books for Marvel, DC, and Independent Publishers), Letters by Nikki Powers, and Co-Created by Bigs Wiedrich.
