Found among my unreleased recordings, so there's no tracklist.

EBM, Industrial, New Beat, Synthwave, Techno, Acid, and some weirdness. Slightly edited due to technical issues like channel drop-outs and noise, probably the reason why it was abandoned, and it ended cold so I had to make a fade-out. I thought I'd leave it here for some time anyway.

Kim Wilde's hit Kids in America didn't come with an extended version on the 12", just the same version as on the 7" and the album. So I decided to make my own.

This song was released as a 7" single 44 years ago, in 1982 on the day recently, so I decided to play around with it a bit.

Surprising finds in a bag of old tapes.

I can't even remember hearing this before, so I haven't got a clue when or where it was recorded. But I would guess around 1992-93, and when playing out somewhere since it's in mono.

Found on two unmarked tapes, so there's stuff missing from when the tapes were turned and changed. And it's incomplete. There's either at least one more tape somewhere, or this is all that was recorded.

It's quite wild on the mix and full of technical problems, mistakes, long brutal transitions, daring thin ice, trainwrecks, nerve & tension, chaos & mayhem, cheese, and attitude. A wild ride in a mess of styles. I really wonder where I could have played this.

I left a short bit of silence between the different sides in the recording.

Since I have no photos of me DJ'ing in those days I used this blurry one taken by Incubus/Antic at The Computer Crossroad, a 1993 Commodore 64 party in Gothenburg.

After incidentally doing the #onthisdaymix for April I couldn't resist looking back at what I had posted in March. So, eventually it resulted in me taking 35 of those 88 records on a crazy ride - not knowing where it would take us. All the way around it seems, and back again. The records are old, the equipment is old, I am old, I am part of the equipment.

Still not too shabby.

So I decided to upload it. Right after the one from April, to stay in line with the disorder. Now I have a bunch of records to return to their right places.

Out of the 107 birthday records I posted in April I picked 31 and recorded a mix, or a chaotic journey if you wish. It felt like an interesting idea to see what I could do within these limitations. So it's kind of an experiment. Putting tracks together is always interesting, to see what happens.

At some point in 2016 I was going wild'n'crazy with my records; just mashing anything together, and lots of it, resulting in four experiments that I've now put together as a kind of mix, which I think works much better than as stand-alone tracks like originally released on RetouchEdit back then. Munnen full...

I've always loved Blancmange, and have an almost complete collection of their '80s records. After hearing about Stephen's passing I dug them all out to record this mix, and was reminded again of how great and timeless their music is. It's genuine, honest, innovative, intense and very direct, with a strong theatrical attitude. Their importance can never be overstated. My deepest condolences to Stephen Luscombe's family, and to Neil Arthur. Mixed from vinyl with love, September 2025.

John, Cruel, Murder, Business Steps, Living on the Ceiling, Feel Me, Game Above My Head, Heaven Knows Where Heaven Is, Waves, Lose Your Love, On Our Way To?, Don't Tell Me, Blind Vision, All Things Are Nice, I Would, I've Seen the Word, Running Thin, God's Kitchen, That's Love That It Is, Paradise Is, Scream Down the House, Vishnu, No Wonder They Never Made It Back!, I Can't Explain

Since my first Freestyling Stream was received with such positive reactions, I decided to dig around on an old HDD in search for a second part that I remember doing. And here it is! From the 21:st of November 2006, on what was then called Discogs Radio, later Interstate FM.

This one is deeper, techy & minimal. Mixed again using my old Inkel MX991 mixer and, just like the name implies, done unplanned and spontaneously - for the fun of it. Oh, and I edited out a skip at one point, just so you know in case you hear something suspicious. ;)
