Happy holidays! It's a new season of DLC Required, and we have one of the coolest guests ever joining us to take a peek inside the writers room of Borderlands 4.

You may know Narrative Director Sam Winkler (Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, Borderlands 3, Borderlands 4) as a writer on some of your favorite games, or you may know him as That Guy From Twitter.

Dive into the making of Borderlands 4, the minds behind it, and a shocking amount of soup talk.

The Borderlands Hunt is a community-ran event where people race to collect every drop in a Borderlands game while raising money for St. Jude Play Live. Today, April 4th, is the kick-off of Borderlands 2 Hunt Before the Storm, our last BL2 Hunt before the launch of Borderlands 4. With luck (and all your support), this Hunt we'll cross HALF A MILLION DOLLARS for St. Jude Play Live. It's INSANE.

To talk about why we do it, some of the fun (and not so fun) incentives, goals, challenges, and general shenanigans, Paskaroni and Mystique Siren join DLC Required.

Check out the community campaign and find all the creators participating -- and join us! https://tiltify.com/+borderlands-community/the-hunt-before-the-storm

We finally have a release date for the hotly anticipated Borderlands 4. Obviously, K6, Joltz, and I had to sit down and break it down. What will the gunplay be like? Movement mechanics?!?! Does story matter? Should Joltz make a weapon tier list? Join all of this plus other tangents as we count down the days til the next BL4 reveal.

Ki11erSix returns to DLC Required on the heels of the BORDERLANDS 4 ANNOUNCEMENT at Gamescom. We immediately just start ranting without any context, but I swear it gets more sane. We're just excited. We answer some of your questions, talk about the upcoming Borderlands Hunt (for the kids!). and -- as always -- food.

What do BlameFrost and Lion have in common? They have a lot of feelings about video games. And music. And Borderlands. And Myspace. And roleplay. And -- whatever, just listen. It's fun.

Torbin has been working in video games for decades. He likes to remind people of that. You may know him from Dreamhack. You may know him as the Senior Community Manager at Daybreak Games. You may know him as a legend. You may know him as infuriating. Lion and Torbin banter for far too long about the Nintendo Switch vs Steam Deck, Overwatch mains, best video games of all time, and how many hours is too many hours in a game.
