Today's mantra is Rāma, and is the name of Ram, an incarnation of Viṣṇu (Vishnu). It moves energy up and down the spine, with Ra being a solar/masculine mantra that moves energy upwards, and Ma as the lunar/feminine invoking mantra that moves energy down the spine.
