More cases are being solved thanks to the advances of DNA analysis. We can trace our ancestors, work out how past civilisations lived and how and when they died. But increasingly, there is a dark aspect to it all. More and more cases are being proved to have relied on what is basically false DNA evidence and as a result, innocent people are being sent to prison, or even sentenced to death. So while the cold case clear-up rate is fantastic and to be applauded, at what point do we say this evidence is not enough to convict a person? We have no idea, but it's fascinating stuff!
