DNA's polymeric structure & the 'semiconservative' replication

DNA is made up of monomer nucleotides that form the DNA strands and two strands come together to form the double helix that we all know of.

Also, in the replication process, the double helix separates into two single strand. Using it as a templet, the other half is created, thus half of it is old and half of it is new, marking it as a semiconservative process.
