As a new visitor arrives in Cadmia seeking Halrod the Haunted, he finds him just in time to catch The Odyssey in flames. Meanwhile Felix faces trial after his wrongful arrest for the murder of Orn Stone. After Baergrum helps rebuild The Odyssey he lends his expertise to Halrod, who plans to break his last living friend out of prison.
