If you have ever asked this question, this episode is for you! "Good" is subjective and based on experiences, outlooks, and preferences. When we evaluate if "good" men exist, we must examine whether we are asking if they are good TO us, good FOR us, or both. That combination also encompasses morality and value systems that usually measure basic decency. We need to recognize that in asking this question, we already position ourselves to claim that they do not exist, which poses the question in the first place. The presence of the question indirectly advises the good men that do exist that we do not believe in their existence which does a lot of subconscious harm we often do not address. Many might not know that when we say something long enough, we try to prove it accurate, which works for both negative and positive thoughts. So, is it that good men do not exist, or is the lens we look through claiming this overall? Tune in to the discussion!
