Guests: Alex Perry, Brian Ford.
In this week’s episode of The One Last Thought Podcast, we are joined by Alex Perry, and by Brian Ford. Unbeknownst to them, they were both sharing thoughts about the struggles of being true to yourself, living honestly with who you truly are, and being genuine in your daily process.
Guest bios:
Alex Perry is the Owner/CEO of Practically Speaking, LLC.
From Alex’s bio: Our greatest power is our ability to speak. It’s my job to help you use this gift.
I help leaders like you speak so you can command the rooms you enter and tell the stories you need to tell. So you can do more, be more and get more of what you want most in life. When a leader like you speaks, it creates a ripple effect of change. That ripple moves from a person to a group, from groups to communities, from communities to countries and from countries to the world. You owe it to the world to use your gift well. More importantly…you owe it to yourself.
Brian Ford is a TedX Speaker, and the host of Self-Improvement Daily Podcast.
From Brian’s bio: As a former student-athlete at UC Davis, I know what it's like to compete at a high level. This competitive spirit drives me to always seek a better version of myself. I created the "Self Improvement Daily" podcast to hold myself accountable to personal development, as well as offer a resource to others looking to pursue their potential.
I started my career in surgical medical device sales, which is a fast-paced industry that requires creativity, ambition, and dependability to penetrate accounts. I was tasked to convert accounts with no prior business, and consequently improved immensely as a salesman through cold calls, trainings, and rehearsal.
I hope to continue incorporating my innate entrepreneurial spirit in everything I do - in device sales I managed to creatively bend my title and stretch my territory, in Volunteer Davis I decided to create the solution to a problem I was experiencing, and with Self Improvement Daily I find myself on the leading edge of content creation in smart-home technology.
And now I've jumped all in - Working with RecoverX, a start up rehabilitative device company, I believe that this formal entrepreneurial exposure will help me continue to improve as a professional, salesman, and human being! I am fascinated by people and their decision making, and as a neurobiologist and psychologist in training, I am truly enjoying the process of identifying how our value proposition best attacks the marketplace.
