From my experience, the 'traditional' method to teach music isn't best suited for me, and I'm sure that's a shared sentiment with other music students. The truth is those instructors who lean into 'the way it's always been done' are merely masking their inadequacies as performers (in this case). You know, those that can't do, teach, no matter what level of pedagogy. Um, no, that won't do when learning how to play an instrument.
