Do Not Condemn Others

The first verse of this katha says: "Although there are terrible agonies of various kinds in this world, the insult offered to one's own people is the most painful of them all. The thought of the same made Sati furious. Her mother tried to pacify Her in many ways."
Devotees, let us all help to elevate each other not only materially but spiritually as well. Let us not condemn and ridicule each other. Remember that what goes around comes around. The law of Karma states as you sow so shall you reap. Let us therefore plant seeds of actions that will blossom and bring happiness into this world.
The second verse of this katha says: "Wherever you hear a saint, Shambhu or Vishnu (the Lord of Lakshmi) vilified, the rule is that if it lies within your power you should tear out the tongue of the reviler or you should run away closing your ears."
We are further told that we should speak words of wisdom to all those who condemn God and all saintly individuals. It is by this process that they will learn to cease speaking ill words. If for some reason we cannot speak and address them, then leave that environment as it is considered to be unholy.
