The last sermon of the series “Do NOT Be Afraid” will focus on the Shepherds experience with the angels on the night Christ was born. Shepherds were the outcasts of the society at that time. They were considered on the fringe for a variety of reasons, including what was believed to be their inability to fully observe the law (because of their occupation). Yet, these men were asked to visit the new King. Why? Because by the grace of God found in Jesus Christ ALL are welcome at the Savior’s feet! We do not have to fear our status before God. Nobody is worthy of God’s grace, yet He showers us with it like a hurricane. We do not have to fear that we are not good enough for God. The newborn Christ, who came in the lowliest of human settings, has said we are worthy!
