Do No Lose Your Confidence

Hebrews 10:35-36 GW

“So don’t lose your confidence. It will bring you a great reward. You need endurance so that after you have done what God wants you to do, you can receive what he has promised.”

Did you know that Only 8 Percent of People that Set Goals Actually Achieve Their Goals? Have you ever stopped to ponder why this is the case?

As a Christian, when you received that word of promise from God, either through prophecy or personal revelation - you held on to it and were highly expectant that the breakthrough is around the corner.

You believed the word of God and you set out to lay hold of what was promised by setting goals to achieve them but along the line, because hope deferred makes the heart sick so you started doubting the word of God - “maybe, I did not hear Him well”; or “per adventure, that prophecy was not meant for me” and sometimes the devil, the accuser of the brethren, might even convince you God can not perform His words because of your sins.

I am here to remind you today according to Hebrews 10:23:

“…hold tightly without wavering to the hope you affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.”

Go back to God, wait on Him.

Confess any sin and repent immediately

Remember how you felt when you got the word

Recount all the ways God has confirmed His words to you from the beginning

Pick up your goals again and break them down to actionable steps

Prayerfully follow through with each

Get accountability partner to help remind you why you started

And in all - DO NOT LOSE YOUR CONFIDENCE - IT WILL BRING YOU A GREAT REWARD.

Let us pray:

Father, thank you for your glorious hope and mercy that I enjoy everyday. I pray for renewed confidence in your promises and for the grace to endure that I may lay hold of your promises without wavering. In Jesus name! Amen! Amen!! and Amen!!!
