Small talk about the weather or sports makes an acquaintance even when it comes to family. ⁣

⁣

Do you have deep conversations about real stuff? Do you know their hopes, dreams, desires, fears and regrets? Do you know what pinches their values? Do you know how they find joy? What they do when they face challenges? Can you be completely vulnerable with them without fear of judgement? Can they?⁣

⁣

Stop assuming things about someone just because of the formal relationship or the length of time you know someone. Get to know them for real.
