If the marks of abiding are absent from your life, you have no genuine experience with God. You don’t knowHim. If you knew Him, you would abide in Him. If you don’t abide in Him then He does not abide in you. Whatever testimony you may be able to give of some kind of encounter with God, it is irrelevant if the marks of abiding can’t be identified in your life.
