The gospel of Luke, chapter 8, beginning at verse 49, “While he was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, ‘Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.’ But when Jesus heard it, He answered him saying, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.’“

Oh, God, help us again in our generation to not be afraid, and to believe. I have a question for you today, do you believe that our cities can be made well again? Do you believe that our schools can be made well? Do you believe that our children can learn to pray and learn to praise God again? Do you believe that God can revive a nation as backslidden as ours is? Do you believe that God can touch New York City? I believe it. Of course, yes, He can, He is God. He can do whatever He wants to do. Just as He raised this girl from the dead, He will touch our city.

It’s time to pray.
