A Moment in Devotion

Do You Fear God?

Do you fear God or have you just gotten used to the idea of God? We sit with a blunt, searching set of questions that cut through spiritual noise: Do we hold the Lord in highest respect and real awe because of his absolute holiness, power, and sovereignty, or have we reduced faith to comfort and routine?

From there, we move from theology to the heart. A personal, intimate relationship with God is not built on religious talk, but on repentance and trust. We ask what it looks like to truly turn from sin, hate evil, and love obedience to Jesus Christ. Not as performance, not as public image, but as a genuine desire for God’s ways. The message is simple and urgent: he is waiting on you.

We then anchor everything in Revelation 3:20-22, where Jesus says he stands at the door and knocks. If anyone hears his voice and opens the door, Christ promises real fellowship and a life shaped by his presence. The passage also points to overcoming and listening to what the Spirit says to the church, calling us to steady, lived-out faith.

If this devotion challenges you, share it with someone who needs a clear invitation back to Christ. Subscribe, leave a review, and tell us: what does “opening the door” mean for you today?
