Do you have an anchor for your soul?

Listen Later

Every one of us needs an anchor for our souls. Where can that anchor be found? The Bible tells us that this anchor is found in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

John 9:1 “And as he passed on, he saw a man blind from birth.”

John 9:10-11 “ They said therefore to him, How have thine eyes been opened?11 He answered [and said], A man called Jesus made mud and anointed mine eyes, and said to me, Go to Siloam and wash: and having gone and washed, I saw.”

John 9:24-25 “24 They called therefore a second time the man who had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is sinful.25 He answered therefore, If he is sinful I know not. One thing I know, that, being blind [before], now I see.”

John 9:35-38 “35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him, he said to him, Thou, dost thou believe on the Son of God?36 He answered and said, And who is he, Lord, that I may believe on him?37 And Jesus said to him, Thou hast both seen him, and he that speaks with thee is he.38 And he said, I believe, Lord: and he did him homage.”

Hebrews 6:18-20 “we might have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us,19 which we have as anchor of the soul, both secure and firm, and entering into that within the veil,20 where Jesus is entered as forerunner for us, become for ever a high priest according to the order of Melchisedec.”
