Do You Hear What I Hear? - 1.11.2026

Listen Later

A Tale of Two Kingdoms invites us to sit at the feet of Jesus and be formed by His parables about the Kingdom of God.

On the night before His betrayal and crucifixion, Jesus prayed for His disciples—and for all who would one day believe in Him—asking not that they be taken out of the world, but that they be kept from the evil one and sent into the world as He Himself was sent (John 17). Jesus knew that the word He received from the Father would set His people apart, making them holy and forming them as citizens of a different Kingdom.

Through His life, death, resurrection, and promised return, the Kingdom of God has broken into our world—already present, yet not fully realized. Though Christians continue to live within the kingdoms of this world, our ultimate citizenship now belongs to the Kingdom of God. In this sermon series, we will explore Jesus’ Kingdom parables to learn what this new citizenship means for our faith, our loyalties, and our daily lives, and how Christ sends us into the world to bear witness to His Kingdom—freeing us from the idols, false promises, and misplaced hopes of the kingdom of man.
