From my perspective when you live your life for others, you end up wasting your time and you’re wasting your life. You can’t root your joy in the life of someone else. Because eventually their path will deviate from your own. Stable happiness comes when we learn to root it in ourselves and our own experiences. Anything else sells us out and sells us short in the worst possible ways.
