You don't need to create perfect content. This is one of the biggest myths speakers, coaches, and consultants believe when creating content: "It needs to be perfect before I can publish it."
We've all been there before: staring at the ready-to-publish tweet, post, or video... but it's just not perfect. Is that the right picture? Could my headline be a little better? How do I find the perfect "hook"?
And guess what doesn't get posted? Your imperfect content.
Publish great content... even if it's not perfect.
Are you perfect? No, of course not. So, why would you believe your content has to be? Your clients don't expect perfect content from you; they want relevant, helpful content. There's a huge difference. The next time you're tempted to make your good content 'perfect', just publish it.I want to share a great quote that inspires me to just hit publish. It’s from General George S. Patton, and he said, "A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week."
What's the good content you need to publish this week instead of putting it off until it's perfect?
