This passage teaches us that we really do need God's Word no matter who we are. His Word is described as divine witness, it is God giving His own testimony as to who He is and what He wills and what He requires from us. His Word is sure, reliable in every sense, unwavering, unmistakable, in other words His Word can be trusted. The challenge is to not go through this year without reading His Word. You are going to need discernment, (which comes through His Word) this year.
